Purpose

The purpose of creative people is to Repurpose. -To give things & ideas a second life.

When Major Purpose says, "Start flying". You say, "How high?"

People should only watch TV if they take notes. Me included.

If you can't decide what you're passionate about, you can decide what most disturbs you.

Your greatest discovery will be when you realize your area of greatest potential.

No one really knows what is or isn't possible.

Let us see more broadly, imagine more deeply, experiment more regularly.

The world says, "Find your passion". I say, "Find your burden & make the solution your passion".

It's easy to find passion in Sport & Leisure, but in answers to our burdens, we find our purpose.

I knew a man who did humanitarian work but had a nervous breakdown. He didn't know what work he really loved.

You have a inner hero: You need to solve a common problem, meet a specific need or save someones day.

Everyone has a Hero Complex. Some just don't know it yet.

Even blind optimism sees more clearly.

A person who doesn't decide why they exist, will barely exist at all.

Your journey IS your goal.

Having an audience (& a community)

Let the world see the love in what you do, and they'll love it too.

Be known for what you do. It's not who you know, but who knows you.

A crowd becomes your community when you know your purpose in it.

There are those that follow a crowd. And those that serve a community.

The artist see's the worts, the audience see's the beauty.

If your audience doesn't know what fires you up, you will leave them cold.

Create from what you believe, what disturbs you, what you care about. That is what people respond to.

The only time an artist should re-create something is to re-create what is in him, into the audience.

On your creative journey, you travel through the hearts of your audience.


If every story is a journey. Then the art is to know were your audience is now. And then to take them to a place you want them to go.

Begin by trusting yourself. Then gain the trust of the 1 important person in your life. Then your future audience.

Musicians that sing about Fire, remember being burned. It still ignites their music.

A critic is someone who has just been introduced to the future.

Curiosity & learning

People become more creative when they allow their curiosity to be inspired by simple things.

Not everyone has the opportunity to study. But everyone has the freedom to learn.

Curiosity is the love of learning. Endless boredom is the price of indifference.

University is heaven for the curious and paradise for the creative.

If we're not learning, we become robots running on old, pre-installed programs.

We learn interesting things about ourselves when we are learning other interesting things.

Few things are finer than learning interesting things with others.

You may find that some of your best times were learning new things at your pace.

There are Students and Stagnates. Those who keep learning and those who stop.

I wonder if I'm too curious. I feel like an ant exploring an oak tree.

A creative soul is rarely bored. He always packs a big lunch for a hungry curiosity.

Curiosity is like a close friend. Imagination like a brother.

Creativity is ultimately the exploration of personal curiosity.

We can wish to be a master, or we can create today with the heart of a student.

Common knowledge, prevailing wisdom, seedless watermelon. Don't accept it just because most believe it.

Logic looks for instant satisfaction, curiosity is far more patient.

Been away for a while. Needed some in-put time. I love learning new things.

You succeed if you earn but if you only learn, you still succeed.

An artist doesn't need to know all the answers. They can just ask the question.

See more intentionally, Feel more sensitively, Think more independently.

I'm learning too much at the moment, to get an education.

You are a theory that needs to be tested.

If you're a mystery to yourself, then the world is a mystery.

Your life is a journey of discovery. Begin with you.

Life can be a mystery. You shouldn't be.

Creativity is a life of discovery. -Of your unique talents, personality, dreams, voice & niche.

A laboratory curiosity is an observation without imagination.

The great pillars of discovery should never be just silos of knowledge.

Knowledge is relative, truth is absolute.

Feed your curiosity. Don't drip feed it.

Bad television is the gradual transition from a bad education.

Today is 'National awareness of nothing in particular day'.

Restlessness, is the hunger pains of an unfed curiosity.

More people would have a photographic memory, if they took off the lens cap.

We create with what we know, to explore what we don't know.

An artist sees more, a musician hears more.

The most observant are deaf. The best listeners are blind.

Most of us have excellent hearing & eye sight. Unfortunately, most of us can't do them well at the same time.

We see & hear unconsciously. -It's a common problem.

The future belongs to the people that are curious, creative & open to change.

Apart from boring work, there isn't any reason to be bored.

In a digital world, we need to focus on what we need now. Not on what we might need later.

Entertainment shouldn't be an escape from reality, but give a hunger for more of it.

You never know what you'll find when you become curious. But that's half the fun.

When you're open, things flow to you. When you're creative, things flow out.

Have an intense curiosity about you. What are you reeealy capable of?

A tragedy is someone who wants to learn but can't. And someone who can learn but won't.

Man digs for rare minerals in the depths of the earth so he can see the colors of a distant galaxy.

Curiosity is the remedy for conscious ignorance.

Knowledge is empowering. Words have the power to bridge the divide.

Confidence comes from knowing how to begin. And yet still beginning, knowing there is still much to learn along the way.

Listen twice as much. Believe what you hear half as much.

Read as much as you can. Let it stimulate your thinking, not replace it.

Curiosity isn't a hungry mind, but a feast for a growing identity.

A great curiosity, creates a great talent.

Don't have much? At least you have talent. Even if you didn't have talent, curiosity will be rewarded.

A seeker may accept a lie, but will eventually find the truth. Someone sure of his truth, will end up with lies.

Curiosity is the best teacher.

The seeker finds much more than he seeks. He finds an interesting path just for himself.

Busyness is the death of curiosity.

You don't know what you don't know. -Unknown

Knowing is easy. People who believe it's difficult or expensive, won't get far.

Creativity philosophy

1/ My creative philosophy: Communication, Relationship, Love. (Exchange of ideas, among equals, in the spirit of service).

2/ Content, technique, presentation. If one is lacking, the other two suffer.

3/ My goal was to become a Content Creator. And that content to come from what was already in me.

4/ So I began to explore what was in me: my interests, projects I enjoyed, repeated day-dreams. To find what I needed to create.

5/ What I found was that I had so much inside me to create from.

6/ I began to take notice of my random thoughts. I would say to myself, "what have I been thinking about"? The answer was always interesting.

7/ Inside, we aren't as passive as we think we are. Our inner world is buzzing with activity.

8/ Creative people can find some of their most personally meaningful ideas from this inner world.

9/ This inner world in known as the subconscious. It's like a lake. The surface is what you are learning now.

10/Under the surface is what you have learnt to do without much conscious thought. Like walking.

11/ Now, our ideas are like fish in that subconscious lake. We can bring them to the surface again if we look for them.

12/ See your self as a lake of ideas, not a ocean, because you are a unique identity. You're not part of an impersonal mass.

13/ Creativity is all about connections. Connecting thought, ideas, objects, people. It's not a 'force'. It not about an impersonal universe.

14/ The potential of a creative person is found in what is unique about you.

15/ And then to express your unique identity in creative ways.

Creative personality

Yes, a few can go along way trying to be someone else. But many go along way just being themselves.

It's quiet here today. 'I' am listening more to 'myself' today.

I used to think that opportunities are 'out there'. I should have looked inside first.

A creative soul finds himself when he becomes lost in the moment.

I love ideas like I love design; It becomes almost impossible to see things as they are.

People are more sensitive than they like to admit. But creative people embrace & express their own particular sensitivity.

Creative people are more sensitive to their surroundings. So some things they can do well & some things they can never do.

Creators are co-creators. Their talents, personality & dreams all work together.

A creative spirit is constructive. A critical spirit is destructive.

When we explore the natural world, we discover an inner world of ideas.

Nature makes you more imaginative, self reliant, intuitive and mentally productive.

Everyone needs to get out of the city sometimes. Escape the noise & find themselves again.

The Artist, the Inner child & the Muse, are all names for the Creative Personality.

You respond to your creative nature by nurturing it.

I wonder about myself sometimes. I've been self administering career & personality profiles on myself.

I'm a mind reader!... Well, I just read my mind, but that's more than some can do.

The creative process is the way a creative personality lives their whole life.

I don't like using words like; Always, Must, Should, Never & Can't. But sometimes I 'Have To'.

I owe so much to being teachable, creative & prepared.

I welcome the future, with preparation, flexibility & creativity.

Your personality is the way you learn, solve problems & communicate. Your work should reflect that.

Your best work will be an extension of your personality.

It's hard to find your natural self in artificial places.

A health Self-Concept must enjoy being self reliant.

I'm serious about creativity, but never take myself too seriously.

Body expects comforts, People expect conformity. (Avoid both, to be actively creative).

To find yourself, is to find your foundation.

To create yourself, is to build on it.

Finding yourself: Personality, Talents & dreams.

Creating yourself: Combining the above into a productive life.

If boredom is a sign of intelligence, then people must be pure genius's.

Quicker to walk in your own shoes, than try to run in someone else's.

Creativity doesn't like to rely on maps. (So that's why I don't like street maps).

Your greater need is one that accepts other needs as lesser.

My basic need is to make a living. My higher need is to create my life.

I need to create to be more alive.

I love creativity. I can do something that helps others long after I'm gone.

What has always impressed me about creativity is that it says, "I was here".

All food is sweet to the hungry. Life is sweet.

Brain says, "I can only do what I know". Heart says, "I need to do what I love".

We are rewarded for remembering facts, & forgetting our true self.

Your biggest barrier is not knowing what life you want, or thinking you can't have it.

Faith in yourself is not doubting your devotion, abilities & dreams.
