Locking a creative person in a Hardware store is like locking a kid in a Toy shop.
For the innovator, the world is one great big Hardware store.
For creative people, areas of knowledge are just shelves in a supermarket, full of goodies.
An innovator can be categorized as some one who ignores categories.
Categories are the prisons built for established specialists.
Ideas are limited by the silly walls built around fields of knowledge.
Hi, I'm Steve Supple. I created these quotes so you can benefit from them. Feel free to use them (with name). I write about creativity and creating careers that people will love. People long for careers that are satisfying and profitable, but many never work out just how to get there. It has been something that has bothered me most of my life, so I set out to know how its possible.

Visual communication
Even an Interior Decorator can SAY something about the character of the building & purpose of the spaces.
Art speaks, decoration is mute.
An artist often explores different mediums to explore new ways to communicate.
I've been to Europe & seen the great halls. -There's a big difference between Art & decoration.
You're not a Decorator. You are a Visual Communicator. (Many created objects are communication devices).
Don't look at your art as decoration. When Michelangelo was asked to 'decorate' the Sistine Chapel, he ran for the hills.
Business is about providing something useful. Yet some artists don't consider that their art can ever serve any useful purpose
People aren't remembered for how well they painted, but for WHAT they painted. (What is the SUBJECT you want to be remembered for?)
Art is great when it says something... Isn't this interesting, Isn't this funny, This is how I felt, This is important to me...
Trying new things
The life of a creative person is to attempt new things. Distraction is the avoidance of attempting new things.
If you never create, you'll tell yourself you can't do it. If you do create, you'll still need to remind yourself that it was you.
The real buzz is creating something you haven't done before. You surprise yourself everyday.
Creativity is about doing stuff you haven't done before. You begin by fearing it. Then you begin to love it.
Life is a fluid situation. Sometimes you gotta get your feet wet.
No one is ready to graduate or ready for the job interview, or ready to work for themselves. But they begin.
So many wait impatiently for a limo, when the bus was all they needed.
No one is ever 100% ready to begin. So many put off the work of their dreams forever.
Procrastination is indecision. Indecision is resistance.
People wait for decades until they feel ready. The world also waits.
So many wait impatiently for a limo, when the bus was all they needed.
No one is ever 100% ready to begin. So many put off the work of their dreams forever.
Procrastination is indecision. Indecision is resistance.
People wait for decades until they feel ready. The world also waits.
You need to actively chase projects you want to do. Or you WILL be doing uninteresting work.
Stagnation is making what you know well. Enthusiasm is for what we have only imagined.
Don't need to wait for a job you've already done. Chase the creative career you want.
Obvious enthusiasm is more valuable than career experience.
You're not the sum of you work experience. Aim for your career expectations.
Obvious enthusiasm is more valuable than career experience.
You're not the sum of you work experience. Aim for your career expectations.
Don't be distracted by what you can do. Focus on what you want to create.
Stagnation, indecisive, procrastination, unmotivated & frustrated: all symptoms of no clear vision for your future career.
Stagnation, indecisive, procrastination, unmotivated & frustrated: all symptoms of no clear vision for your future career.
You know you are creating when you say, "I have no idea what I'm doing".
People who know how, didn't know how when they began.
We all imagine a tight-rope between today and our ideal future.
To create is a risk. Not creating is a bigger risk.
We all imagine a tight-rope between today and our ideal future.
To create is a risk. Not creating is a bigger risk.
10,000 say, "I don't know how", and never start. A rare few say, "I will figure it out" and begin.
Some wait for the perfect time. Some are waiting to be perfect.
We wait until we are ready, willing & able. But we just need to be willing.
We wait until we are ready, willing & able. But we just need to be willing.
People say they aren't creative. What they mean is: "I feel safe in my box".
Many say, "I'm not creative". (Translation: "I got by up till now").
For the past 50 years you could get by without being creative. Not any more.
Many say, "I'm not creative". (Translation: "I got by up till now").
For the past 50 years you could get by without being creative. Not any more.
SUCCESS: It’s not what you do well now, it's what you want to do great.
It's not how creative you are. It's how creative you want to be.
Creativity flows AFTER you start creating.
You won't learn about personal innovation until you take a risk.

Time & priorities
How can anyone hope for a more creative life if they don't even set aside 30 minutes a day to create.
I few minutes writing your thoughts down everyday is a great start to a more creative life.
The first step in a transition to a more creative life is to accept your need to create regularly.
It's about Task Management, not time management. Focus on your strengths.
Remember, People who are good at wasting their time, are good at wasting yours too.
Can't decide how best to use your time? Love knows when to say Yes. Wisdom knows when to say No.
Want to save a lot of time? Give people what they need, not what they want.
We spend our whole life waiting for the perfect time. But life isn't perfect.
Everyone needs a Creative Retreat. But that sounds defeatist. Let's call it a Creative Takeover.
We have no time to create because we have an over inflated sense of duty to go beyond our needs.
Today we have more opportunity to fill up our time, instead of protecting pockets of time to explore opportunities.
Your idea must be more valued than the compulsion to fill ever moment with mildly amusing distractions.
Ever experienced the subtle pressure not to create? "Oh, you're not doing much, can you help me"(?)
When we accept the mental cycle of "Need to work & deserve a rest", we won't allow ourselves time to create.
Great way to be more creative: What can you create that will be finished by sunset?
If people don't value your time, they don't value what you're doing.
Time should be shared, exchanged & given voluntarily. Not expected from you.
Time is valuable. People can expect too much of it from you.
Your life isn't giving your time away. It's devoting you time to what you love.
It's easy to say, "When I've organised everything, then I'll create". That makes your art the lowest priority.
There will always, always be something else to do. But you CAN find 15 minutes to create everyday.
I wonder what’s on the Procrasta-vision?
Maybe I'll aimlessly surf the Procrasta-net?
We wait for the mythical 'When'...but the 'NOW' is your moment.
Tomorrow will be a better day to start... ...Start TODAY will a better tomorrow be.
The greatest gift to yourself is TIME...YOU are one of your priorities.
I've been guilty of over planning & under achieving.
Education is a wonderful thing but it conditions people to learn first, THEN apply it in the real world.
'Beginning' has a wonderful effect; What you thought was too hard & too tiring is often only an illusion.
The best way forward is often a bit to the left or right. Never in the middle or to the extreme.

The world & society
Poverty is being robbed in advance.
A society that nurtures the creative, protects the ideas that society will need in the future.
If people valued seeds (of talent) as much as fruit, there would be more of both.
You have already experienced more changes than someone from 100 years ago.
Most of what you use everyday didn't exist 12 years ago. What you're learning now wasn't here 4 years ago.
Modern society should be measured in dog years. And it needs to learn some new tricks.
Societies that value conformity, tradition & duty, can't value new ideas & self expression.
Every society needs a vision. It should be that the unique visions of many should be encouraged for the benefit of all society.
We all got something to prove. Even if it's to prove the world wrong.
You either re-enforce the assumptions or re-invent as much as you can.
The first rule of Popular Culture is; You must accept all their assumptions.
When 80% agree on anything, I worry for the other 20%.
When someone tells me a picture is crooked. I say it's actually straight, it's the world that's crooked.
A better society is one that shows appreciation for more of it's artists & innovators sooner.
A poor country is where people struggle to survive. A rich country is where people struggle to stay awake.
The world is divided into people who have to be self-reliant, & those who need to be.
A lot of music videos seems to be a very elaborate form of flirting.
Your informed personal opinion is more useful than the sound bites of public opinion.
People have freedom of speech. The Individual has the freedom to think, without minding what people are saying.
It's getting harder to work out what is fact, fiction or formula.
If people labels don't stick on you, they'll try mud instead (but what you ignore will fall off).
The only labels that mean anything are the ones you choose to carry.
The world loves to put labels on people. The job of an Individual is to defy description.
The world puts people in boxes so they don't have to think outside of it.
The world will have more geniuses if people were not over medicated & over mediated.
The best guardians of society are people who don't conform to it.
The world always underestimates it's creative potential.
Our future is already conceived in the minds of the young.
History is the record of the impatient. They didn't wait for change. (Often enlightened in individuals but seldom in crowds).
For some reason, it's hard to push a 'problem' into the sea. So much better to make space for a shared solution.
The more a crowd focuses on a problem, the more it becomes the problem.
The fact that a lot of opinions are regional, suggests that many people don't think beyond their own experience.
People want to prove the merit of their ideas. The world should give them the space to do it.
The good news is; Not everyone believes all the bad news.
Money is tight because people are tight.

The Media
News stories focus mainly on repeating the negative. It's like junk food for the soul.
News stories are about the follies of the rich & the poor. The media can't think of any thing to say about average people.
The only creative people who should read newspapers regularly are Fiction writers & Comedians.
Popular culture can be more than a lot of people copying each other.
Talent, gifts & potential (knowing your strengths)
We owe a lot to the artists of the world. Or everyone will still be drawing stick figures in the sand.
Talent is the magnification on small details. Vision is a filter than screens out other details.
Nothing wrong with admiring the talents of others. But don't rubbish yours.
Our talents are our strength. People who don't know their talents feel weak.
If we really know our talents, we wouldn't want the talents of others.
You definitely have talents. It's just they may look different to how you imagined them.
We need to know the difference between the talents we admire but don't have, & the talents we have but don't as yet admire.
Our talents have room to grow when we see a lot of possibilities in our area of interest.
Talent is the ability to imagine endless possibilities in the things you love.
We need to rediscover the talent of being ourselves.
Successful people came to the realization that the best use of their life is the best use of their talents.
Talent is the ability to imagine endless possibilities in the things you love.
We need to rediscover the talent of being ourselves.
Successful people came to the realization that the best use of their life is the best use of their talents.
A creative life is the process of exercising one talent, only to find other talents emerge.
Never liked working with numbers. They always assume there is only one answer.
Whenever I find things I can't do, I tell myself, "I must be good at something else".
Whenever I find things I can't do, I tell myself, "I must be good at something else".
Perfectionism is bad, but if you focus on your strengths, you'll get pretty close to it.
I don't know what your gift is but I know it's unique.
Much talent is hidden from the world. And our own talent can be hidden from ourselves.
FOUND: One big bag of creative potential. If it's yours, claim it as soon as possible.
I don't wait for luck. I believe in my own creative potential.
I believe that so much potentual creativity goes to waste.
Yes, we are all born creative. It's just that we are all creative in different ways.
Talent isn't what you can do. It's the thing that makes you unique.
Multi-talented and unfocused? Combine them for real creativity.
A creative person believes that their best work is ahead of them.
You know you value your talents, when you value today.
Your power is your natural talent.
Your greatest talent is the expression of your vision.
To have the confidence in the future you want, you need to have confidence in the talent you know you have.
100 billion neurons in your head. Oh yeh, you definitely have possibilities.
Your talents can be revealed in your sensitivity to colors, sounds, contradictions, concepts.
One of my strengths is to find creative ways to compensate for my weaknesses.
Knowing your weakness is also a strength. Makes us collaborative & humble.
Rely on ourselves for what we CAN do. Rely on each other for what we can't do.
Be fair to yourself. You can't rule the world. You can only change it.
Got the music in you? Time to get it out of you.
Your talent is stuff you do easily or quickly. Don't under price your work just because it's easy.
Talent is a seed...
The talented people you admire, can't do things you can do.
Your hands are the gloves your talent wears when you let it do its work.
Talent is like an old friend. You know what he's done, but you don't know what he'll do next.
Can't predict what your talent will do. It will always surprise you.
When exploring your talents, you can imagine the possibilities. But you soon discover they give you many pleasant surprises.
From a friend: "I loved that work you did. Are you still doing that?"
From a friend: "You're talented. You should do something with that".
Your talent will define your direction. Your dedication will define the distance.
Your talent may look different than imagined. But it can also take you places you never imagined.
Talent is first revealed in a persistent day dream.
Talented hands, a curious mind & an enthusiastic heart makes a person capable of greatness.
Talent is a raw mineral, a natural resource. It needs to be refined into it's pure form.
Talent is what you love to think about.
Talent needs character; the ability to do what comes easy, even when life makes it difficult.
Talent makes something easy to do. Education makes it easier to do in the future.
Talent needs to become a skill, to become a service, if that talent is to survive.
Some talents are unique to you. Some talents are common to man but rarely used.
Quality shouldn't be a goal; It starts now in the little things you do.
Success
Outward success is nice, but satisfaction is better.
People will do all sorts of crazy things if they think they will be rewarded for it. -Unknown.
A creative persons greatest distraction is the pressure of showing outward success.
The pressure to justify a creative direction with material success can be too much for an artist.
Sometimes our desire for creative expression & financial success cancel each other out.
Confidence in your talent must exist BEFORE it is rewarded.
Success is believing that YOUR thoughts, YOUR point of view & YOUR ideas have great value. (Write them down)
Success is the avoidance of unnecessary distractions & expectations.
Creative times, are the small deposits of success we invest into our confidence, skills & future.
Success is keep showing up....with enthusiasm
Success is being unique with excellence.
Admire their talent & work. Not just their success.
Stuff I've done
STUFF I'VE DONE: Took bus to college with my big art folder. I made it look like a huge air mail envelope. Bus (cont) http://tl.gd/6ujsjj
STUFF I'VE DONE: Worked for another News Ltd paper in the ad dept. Lochlan Murdock didn't pop in either. (Like father, like son).
STUFF I'VE DONE: Worked in a Graphic Design dept of a News Ltd paper. When Rupert Murdock came for a visit, he never popped in to say hello
STUFF I'VE DONE: As Commercial Artist at my 1st newspaper job, some days were so quiet, I would draw jet cars all day.
STUFF I'VE DONE: Of course I loved art class in high school but they didn't grade art so some kids just messed around.
STUFF I'VE DONE: Kids used to get me to illustrate their school projects. They got good marks for initiative but low marks for effort.
STUFF I'VE DONE: The art on my heading pages in my school exercise books were so detailed that I kept the art & through away the books.
STUFF I'VE DONE: When I was 14 & 15, my school made me illustrator for the annual school magazine.
STUFF I'VE DONE: I used to draw so much that my school exercise books looked more like art journals.
STUFF I'VE DONE: By the time I was 12, I had over 50 model planes hanging from the lounge room ceiling. (It was my own air show)
STUFF I'VE DONE: When I was 10, I made an army tank from 'my' junk. It had an old toilet seat as the hatch.
STUFF I'VE DONE: When I was 5, I lived in flats that had a huge junk pile. My 1st playground. One day it was all gone. I was devastated.
STUFF I'VE DONE: I used to make the best cubby houses. Kid next door was so jealous but we had the best junk.
STUFF I'VE DONE: As a kid I used to jump off the house roof with a big plastic bag as a parachute. (I was a paratrooper)
STUFF I'VE DONE: As a kid I used to make a wall of boxes in a door frame & smash through. (I was Superman)
STUFF I'VE DONE: When I was 12, I made a town on my bedroom floor using small boxes, toy cars & soldiers for people. (Young urban planner).

In the old days (when everything was still in black & white) ...actually, that sums up the newspaper I worked for.
To be fair, newspapers did have color. You could have red or blue. But that was a lot of extra work.
In an early newspaper job, I would keep the drawings & photos in this thing called a Filing Cabinet.
Change is normal; I was a Paste-Up Artist for a newspaper. Yes, thats real 'Cut & Paste' people.
Be open to change. I worked for a newspaper that went from 'hot metal' typesetting to full digital workflow in 4 years.

Sign of the times: In 1999 I bought a new Apple computer. Friends said 'Why'. Now half my friends have them.
Sign of the times: In high school, those computer nerds were the ones that hid in the library at lunch time. Now we have 5 computers.

Sign of the times: My 12 year old is on her 3rd computer. I don't think I even saw one when I was 12.
Sign of the times: Moved the VCR out of the lounge room this week. None of us remember how it works.
Sign of the times: Put old encyclopedias outside for recycling. A stake 5 foot high.
Sign of the times: Saw my 1st computer (Sinclair ZX Spectrum) in comp museum in UK. Ran off a cassette recorder. That's a.... Never mind.

Purpose
The purpose of creative people is to Repurpose. -To give things & ideas a second life.
When Major Purpose says, "Start flying". You say, "How high?"
People should only watch TV if they take notes. Me included.
If you can't decide what you're passionate about, you can decide what most disturbs you.
Your greatest discovery will be when you realize your area of greatest potential.
No one really knows what is or isn't possible.
Let us see more broadly, imagine more deeply, experiment more regularly.
The world says, "Find your passion". I say, "Find your burden & make the solution your passion".
It's easy to find passion in Sport & Leisure, but in answers to our burdens, we find our purpose.
I knew a man who did humanitarian work but had a nervous breakdown. He didn't know what work he really loved.
You have a inner hero: You need to solve a common problem, meet a specific need or save someones day.
Everyone has a Hero Complex. Some just don't know it yet.
Even blind optimism sees more clearly.
A person who doesn't decide why they exist, will barely exist at all.
Your journey IS your goal.

Problem solving (solution finding)
They says, "Find something you're passionate about". I say; "Find the thing that disturbs you the most & make the solution your purpose".
Be disturbed by unsolved problems. Be passionate for solutions.
When life gives you Brussels Sprouts, make a fuss.
The problem isn't that we don't have the answer, it's that we think we know the problem.
I used to know nothing. Now I know what I don't know.
The most creative know that there is rarely one solution.
There is always a third option.
"Can't do" people need to know what they can do. "Can do" people need to know what they can't.
Hey, the solution is right under my nose!! It's on the tip of my tongue.
Don't rely on what happens between your ears. Solutions can be right under your nose.
Problems are solved in your head, solutions are found around you.
Good problem solvers choose problems , not just solutions.
The world is divided into, "Why I can't", & "Why I do".
"Can't" is the most over used word. "Why" is the most misused.
"Can't" is a poor substitute for 'Create'.
At best, there are many options. At worst, there is always a 3rd option.
A complex situation can be remedied with a simple solution (sometimes).
We don't have all the answers, but there is always an answer close by.
Constructive people build better lives.
A problem is the scratchy stuff that makes us shine.
Many problems are the absence of hope. Many solutions provide that hope.
Fault finding is common, solution finders are unique.
Choose which problem you want to solve. Or a problem will choose you.
Persistence, determination & progress
An artists success is not becoming famous, but remaining an artist.
Successful creatives actually have terrible imaginations. They couldn't imagine doing anything else.
Successful artists lived with the thought that they may never know success.
Half of 2010 is gone. How are your projects going?
Failure is my teacher and success is my role-model.
Someone will always have a reason why you can't do something great.
If we don't create reasons to create, we will create reasons to do something else.
We need to remember the reasons we create. Or we will find many reasons not to.
For some reason people try to control if, when, how, where & what you create.
You're not a machine. You have seasons, rhythms, cycles & a pulse.
Some people are too quick to abandon a life with more freedom when they realize that it isn't free.
Raise the bar, reach for a star.
Been writing about my creative journey. Surprised how determined I've been to stay creative.
I think I'm Will Powered.
"Too difficult" is just something unpracticed.
Some creative people aren't stopped by inexperience, unanswered questions & no guaranties.
People throw rocks on your path but they won't build walls.
This year may have been a disappointment, but what you learnt, you'll need for new year.
Talked to a homeless man today who's writing two novels (at the libuary). His life's work is on a memory stick.
---------------
Excuse me sir, I'm looking for an opportunity. Well son, you just gotta be prepared to go down the road an extra mile.
How can I be sure there'll be an opportunity when I get there? Well, very few go that far but those that do, aren't disappointed.
But everyone I know only does what they're paid to do. Well, I guess that's all they'll ever get paid for.
Ok, can you tell me what I'll find at the extra mile? Don't know, but I'm sure it will something worth the trip.
Alright, I'll go. I'll see you when I get back. Well, better say goodbye now because you won't need to come this way again. The End
----------------
Most of your best experiences will happen because you took the first step.
Yesterdays man will always laugh at the work of tomorrows man (or woman).
People who said, "You haven't got what it takes", couldn't see what you got.
Some people don't see the facts, only flaws.
Every creative giant had to first ignore early critics.
------------------
It's not just mind over matter. But heart & spirit as well.
A refugee can make more of his life than someone with a birthright.
One day you'll shine but first protect that flicker of hope.
The world lays on a subtle guilt when we want to create. Creative expression isn't selfish.
There's only one way to win this year. It must be conquered.
There can be no focus or persistence without passion.
Some people find themselves on the fringe of life. So they create life around themselves.
You'll probably enjoy a lot of fan love one day, but others will spit poison at you along the way.

Passion & Enthusiasm
Enthusiasm is a good substitute for vision.
Who knows where your enthusiasm will take you. But I know where you'll be without it.
True success is successfully sharing enthusiasm.
True success is the reward for prolonged enthusiasm.
True success is successfully sharing enthusiasm.
True success is the reward for prolonged enthusiasm.
People aren't lazy. Just uninspired.
When we bring a song or image or writing to life, we also come to life.
Success & Happiness: It’s not what you know, it's knowing what you love.
It's wonderful to see: When someone learns to be creative, they love to learn again.
The world WILL become enthusiastic for your work, if you show them how enthusiastic you are.
If you designed a passionate life, what would it look like.
Move from quiet desperation to obvious enthusiasm.
Feet up this year. Drag feet next year.
Never stop doing what you love, & you'll be unstoppable.
Most people LEAVE work with enthusiasm. Find work where you can ARRIVE with enthusiasm.
Dedication to a creative task has hidden rewards.
First amaze yourself, then amaze the world.
Protect your joy. It keeps you active, energetic & enthusiastic.
When an idea works, it's justified confidence. When it fails, it's Over confidence. (Just don't loose confidence).
Better to be over confident, than unconfident.

Practice builds confidence. Performance builds courage.
First be confident in what you're learning. Then you'll be more confident when it's time to share what you've learned.
Confidence comes from what you're learning, believing & trusting.
Openness
An open mind, opens doors.
Creativity is about openness. So be open to a better opinion of yourself.
People assume that all closed doors are locked.
People so quickly reject the very things that would improve their future. (Keep an open mind)
Intuition is when your instincts all point in one direction.
Intuition is what urbanized man calls instinct.
Intuition is something in you that senses something all around you.
Believing an idea is impossible makes it impossible.
Disbelief is a self-forfilling prophecy.
Not knowing if it's possible, doesn't make it impossible.
Night dreams
A dream is when you star in your own reality show. Which reality?...I'm not sure.
Wow, I had some incredible dreams last night. One set in the past. The other in the future.
Dreaming is creating.
I love to think about my dreams. But how many times do I have to be in public in my underwear?
Learn the visual language of your repeated dreams.
Some of the most creative things you will ever see will be in your own dreams.
Well I'm of to Dream Cinema.
Needs & motivations
Creative motivation: the desire to spread your ideas no matter what
Your best ideas will be how you spread your ideas.
Success & Happiness: It’s not what you know, it's knowing what you love.
An artist hope: To be loved for what you love to do.
The goal of an artist: To be known for what you know about yourself.
Many artists want to succeed. Learn from the success of the many artists that have inspired you in the past.
Amazing things begin to happen when people realize they can do more than they thought.
One thing most people can do is say, "I can't".
Everyone is a collector. Some people collect dust.
Dissatisfaction is the raw ingredient used to create things that give a shared satisfaction.
We become better at what turns our mind 'ON'. An 'OFF' mind, makes us less capable.
Find your greatest need & you'll find your greatest motivation.
The people who are the most motivated have decided what they can't live without.
Your greatest hunger is not to fill yourself, but to BE yourself.
One some level, you have your greatest need; a conscious hunger.
It's not the filled that succeed, but the hungry ones.
Preparation is the best defense against inevitable desperation.
People choose to ignore inspiration, but not desperation.
Your best ideas will be how you spread your ideas.

Innovation
Not everyone has a creative foundation on which you can build an innovative concept.
Good innovation is human centered. Good design is organic.
Great innovation is creative compassion.
Innovation is a better mouse trap. Progress is a better question.
There are no new possibilities without new questions.
A new era begins when people start to ask new questions.
Old problems remain because they're waiting for a new perspective.
The problem with doing what everyone else is doing, you can't do what no one has done before.
Everyone wants to be a leader but not everyone wants to go first.
Current leaders in any field never waited to see what others are doing.
New inventions need new discoveries. New discoveries need new inventions.
Our questions begin as an assumption. And questions reveal false assumptions.
Without the info we need, assumptions become necessary. It's the false assumptions we are taught that mislead us.
Creativity is turning nothing into something. Innovation is turning something into many.
Innovation is improving everything. (Even improve the way you improve things).
Imagination
Photography is such a wonderful thing. It's not what's in the picture. It is our desire to be in these far off places too.
If it doesn't capture your imagination any more. It's time to explore new mediums and subjects.
People only say, "You're out of your mind", when your imagination has escaped.
Imagination is sweet. Progress should be sweeter.
Only your imagination is perfect. Your work is progress. That's enough.
Never compare your work to others. Not even to your own imagination.
The artist see's the worts, the audience see's beauty.
Perfectionism is toxic. It will poison everything.
Your aim shouldn't be perfection, but progress.
Imagination creates new realities.
Imagination: Your right to freedom of thought.
For me, the key that unlocks my imagination is.....a pencil!
When no one is looking, our imagination comes out of it's hiding place.
Imagination is a creative mind at play. We all have it.
Making connections; they're the games creative minds play.
A visual imagination makes better connections. It's the stuff that ideas are made if.
Don't need to think more. Just connect.
In a repetitive world, everyone prefers to be in a world of their own.
I'm sure, without imagination, we would all slip into a semi conscious coma.
People generally question the imagination of others & themselves.
I'm a figment of my imagination.
The world is the solidification of imagination & elements.
People who can imagine the unseen, recognize each other. They see it in them.
Not everyone has the imagination to see that your ideas are possible.
People think of their imagination as just a small, wild creature that got into their roof space.
Wild imagination is an endangered species. Should be protected.
My imagination has gone too far. Doesn't it know it's limits?
It's just me, my imagination & I.
"It's just my imagination". ("It's just something in me that wants to improve my reality").
My imagination is running away from me. I really should keep up.
You're not limited by your imagination. Your imagination is limited by you.
People quickly become bored without electricity. Have we forgotten how to think for ourselves?
For many, a good imagination has been replaced by a good connection or good reception.
Entertainment should spark imaginations. Not replace it.
Some people can't imagine what they can do without an output device. They could do a lot & output a lot.
We have wild imaginations. Our intuition is our instincts. Creativity, our wilderness to explore.
If we loose our imagination, we loose track of who we are.
The thing that sparks your creativity is the flint of imagination.
Imagination is a strange machine. It's kind of a 3D augmented virtual reality x-ray holographic daydream projection device.
Without imagination, a lot of knowledge would be wasted.
Knowledge is gained in activity, imagination in stillness.
Knowledge is the distillation of the ages. Imagination is the essence of the individual.
Knowledge is earned, imagination is a free gift.
Knowledge is a seed. Imagination waters it.
We are given imagination so we know what our talents are for.
Drawing is a better way to imagine, & to communicate your ideas.
A drawing is proof of your imagination. The hardcopy of your hopes.
An active imagination is exercise for a healthy mind.
Imagination is a way to escape the present, & a way to chase the future.
A creative perspective often sees what is imagined, interacting with what is seen.
Imagination includes things to what you see, that seems missing from your view.
Imagination is the alternate reality overlaid onto your present reality.
We see with out brains. Our imagination are the doodles we draw on those mental images.
Imagination is the transparency that overlays your visual perception.
Knowledge comes by reading, research & revision. Imagination comes by reflection.
Knowledge trickles. Imagination flows.
Very little appears possible without imagination.
What boosts imagination, lifts the world. What infects imagination, makes it afraid.
People who were ahead of their time, allowed their imagination to run ahead of them. Then they ran after it.
